'I Think I'm Going To Kill Myself' - AFI

Jac was brought on as the Set Decorator to work with Production Designer, Sam Lam, for the second time. "I Think I'm Going To Kill Myself" is a comedy, musical about an overly anxious man at the gym who finds himself so embarrassed he rather kill himself then live with that memory. Through a nightmarish rendition of hell he is able to reflect and find the inner confidence he needs for the real world.

ALPHA Fitness Gym

The Production Designer, Sam Lam, had the vision on how to turn a empty office location into a gym setting. By paining walls, having a cohesive color combo, and the right equipment to fill the space.

The gym had all the key components a workout space would need. From a bold logo, to jumping boxes, dumbbells, weight bench's, muscle posters, and a barbell rack.

The After Life

The peaceful feeling of the after life was created in the imagery of a giant floral bed. Jac and the other members of the art department spent hours stabbing the rolling styrofoam bed and filling it in with flowers.

The After Life: Hell

When what the audience thought was heaven, becomes hell, different scenarios unfolded. Pictured here is red and blue rope that gave the impression of a boxing ring, There was also scenes with mirrors, workout benches, and a "Go Hard or Go Home" banner.

Big Finale

At the big finale, the art department stood on the side lines and shot out streamers and confetti to help further encapsulate the joy and celebration happening in the story.
